Joe,rnI am 43 yrs old and had bypass 2 years ago. I am feeling great but am curious to know from reading your books what tests they have done to show your disease going in reverse. Another questions I have concerns your diet, Do you ever eat sweets like cookies and piece of cake at a party. It seems like I am aware of everything I eat but some people think I'm crazy.rnrnLook forward to you response and really enjoy your books, rnrnK

Thanks so much for your questions and kind comments. I'm pleased that my books have been helpful.

About 15 years after my bypass I had an angiogram that showed a reduction in blockage size, called coronary regression. While I was certainly pleased with this information, I tell people with heart disease to be more concerned about stabilization. If you stabilized the disease so that you never got any worse than today, you've hit a home run!

As to cookies or cake, I eat them infrequently...but I do eat them. When it is my birthday, I want a piece of chocolare cake with chocolate frosting. I'll eat it and enjoy it without guilt. But I also make sure not to celebrate my birthday once a week. "Moderation in all things" is my mantra.
